~2 cups oil of choice (olive, coconut, sesame, almond, avocado, etc.)Jojoba oil and Olive oil are wise choices because they have a long shelf life and are suitable for a variety of applications.

~2 cups herbs that have an affinity for the skin (rose petals, hops, chamomile, lavender and plantain or any other yummy combination.) fresh or dried.

~Fill jar with herbs and cover with oil until there is at least an inch of oil at top. The herbs will expand and soak up oil. If the herbs have soaked up all of the oil after a couple days, add a bit more.

~Cap jar and place on a sunny windowsill for 4-6 weeks or in a crock pot on LOW for 24 hours.

~Strain oil in a cheese cloth and pour into a dark glass bottle.

~Add 6-8 drops of essential oil per oz if desired. My favorite blend is Sandalwood, Lavender, Cedarwood, Cypress, Fir Needle, sweet Marjoram, and  Sage.<3

There are so many recipies for this calming Massage Oil. My favorites are lavender, sandalwood, geranium and a few drops of patchouli. I use essential oils to make mine – 1/2 jar of coconut oil [liquid] 5 drops of lavendar, 3 each sandalwood and geranium, 2 drops of patchouli. Once it’s has soaked for a day or two I put the jar in a cool place so the coconut oil will solidify.
Massage well into your feet before you go to bed and put your socks on! Lovely soft feet in the morning.

I love your website Sarah. Going to try the self massage in the morning because I am always all tied up in knots when I wake up and then a hot shower. The tea also sounds great. I’ll have to have you mix me up a tincture for my aching, aging body?
